The Medina County Safety Council is pleased to provide this important training to our members during our regular monthly meeting.
The Stop the Bleed program was developed by the Department of Defense in response to the Sandy Hook school shooting. They partnered with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the Committee on Tactical Combat Causalty Care to create a curriculum that educates people of all ages and skillset on bleeding control first aid, specifically compression, wound packing, and tourniquet application.
